With pangaea proxima I'm imagining a version of humanity where everyone is on the brink of being 'set free', with the world on the brink of utopia. Imagine being controlled your whole life and finally finding a way to be free, that small gap between being controlled and being free is where pangaea proxima fits. 

i.e: imagine you have been working on passing a test for the last 3 years, you have spent every waking hour studying and improving your knowledge, you have taken the test and have been eagerly awaiting the results. As you walk downstairs in the morning the envelope containing the results is posted through the letter box, you go and pick it up. 3 years of hard work is in your hands, and you start to open it, hoping that those years where worth it; this moment is pangaea proxima. It's the moment before you know your work has paid off. The moment before a better future.

Pangaea proxima's definition is: 'the next whole mother earth', which shows what humanity needs to be doing right now, coming together and putting in an incredible amount of work to build a better future for everyone. A small part of this better future belongs in clothing, which is why I focus mainly on upcycling fabric and trying to make the process of making clothes much more energy efficient.
